So, we took Mackenzie to the doctor on Wednesday, June 2nd as we were still concerned about the frequency of her spitting up. She was also starting to pull away from the bottle and arch her back. The doctor said her reflux was acting up and put her on Zantac. He expected that we would see a difference in about 4 days and to stay on it for at least 8 weeks and then do a follow up at that time to see how things are going. At this point, we aren't seeing much difference in the frequency or quantity. Although we were pleasantly surprised to see that regardless of all of the spitting up, Mackenzie gained 6 oz in 9 days. So, she must be getting something!
Crossing our fingers and toes that the Zantac starts kicking in for Mackenzie!
All three of my girls had reflux as infants - it got better when they were eating cereal/etc. The oldest still has some reflux at 8, but has other issues. The others are totally fine. As long as she is gaining weight, she is probably fine! And she is absolutely adorable!!
