Mackenzie had her one month well visit today (only 2 weeks late). We left the office with fantastic news to share with everyone......she now weighs 5lbs 15oz!! I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is 2+ pounds heavier than her birth weight of 3lbs 13oz. She is also getting longer. She is now 18 7/8", over 1+ inches from her birth length of 17 1/4" long.
Even better news....the doctor could no longer hear her heart murmur! We are crossing our fingers that when we go to her February 5th cardiology appointment that they will tell us that it has closed on it's own.
The doctor gave us the go ahead to let her "feed on demand." We no longer have to wake her every 3 hours to feed. So, mommy and daddy are hoping that she sleeps a little more through the night and give us some much needed rest. Tonight will be the big test.
It also looks like I'll 
be locked up in the house for a couple more weeks yet. The doctor again reminded us to not bring her out until she is at least 3 months and even after that we have to be really cautious because she was a preemie. So, at this point I'm not sure when we'll be able to break out of this jail cell of a house.
