Our exciting news came on Wednesday, May 20th. And although we had been trying and planning for this it still came as quite a surprise. We were overjoyed and in shock that it had finally happened. We just couldn't believe it.
We attended our "Welcome Meeting" for new parents at OBGYN of Lancaster on Monday, June 8th. This was just an informational session for all first time parents. Our first appointment was on Monday, June 15th. We couldn't wait to hear the heart beat to confirm the pregnancy. Hearing the heart beat was the most amazing thing in the world! It was just unbelievable. We were very excited to hear that the doctor requested an ultra sound to confirm the due date of Baby Osika. So, we were lucky enough to have an ultra sound on Monday, June 22nd to see a picture of our little peanut. Technology is truly amazing. At only 11 weeks, Baby Osika was quite active but stayed still long enough to pose for a few pictures. The due date remained the same as we were initially told, January 8, 2010.
So many announcements to be made....Andy and I told my family on Sunday, May 31st. Being grandchild #1 for my parents they were quite excited to hear the news. Grandmom Horn received the news on July 4th. She was happy to hear that Baby Osika will be Great-Grandchild #34...hard to believe, right? Pop-Pop Nuneviller will be receiving the news later on today that he will be having Great-Grandchild #10 in January 2010.

The frames we made for the grand-parents to be (this is the one we gave to my dad for Father's Day but we made something similar for Andy's mom).
